I am the dean of the Efi Arazi School of Computer Science, at the Reichman University (former IDC), Herzliya. My recent interests are in the fields of Computer Vision, Image Processing, and Machine Learning. In particular, I am fascinated by the latest advances in Deep Learning, and I'm curious to understand the implicit representation of geometric structures, dynamical systems, and manifold data in deep neural networks. I received my Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem. Since then I was post-docing at the department of Applied Math and Computer Science at the Weizmann Institute of Science, and at NASA Ames Research Center, U.S.A. I am now a full Professor at the Reichman University, where I have been a faculty member since 1998. I have been consulting for several high profile firms such as HP Labs, Google, and Amazon. I was a visiting scholar at Google during 2011-2012 and worked as a principal scientist at Amazon during 2016-2018, working at the Amazon-Go project.
